a list

DSC_0062New capacities are really growing.
Trust them.
You might even call them love.

Truly forgive others for not being what you would hope of them.
They are struggling.
They don’t know how to do it better just yet.
They have fear.
They need your compassion.

YOU need your compassion.
Truly forgive yourself for not being what you would hope of yourself.
You are struggling.
You don’t know how to do it better just yet.
(You get the picture…)

Resist outrage, complaint and bitterness or at least notice that you’re heading there and try to re-route yourself somewhere silent or somewhere else.

When it gets tough, look at something alive with as much attention as you can muster. A flower is good. A child. An adult. A tree. A bird, perhaps especially a duck.

Stay in your heart for as many nano-seconds as you can bear. It’s not always pretty in there, it’s not always pink and squishy. You can feel the pain in there, but the pain is there to remind you that something needs attention. Pay attention. Get help if needed.

You can bear things from the heart once you get used to it. It’s a wider outlook. Use it.

Tell the truth or of much of it as the situation can bear. You will learn to discern how much.

If you’ve discerned a little unwisely and truthed too much, apologise. See mistake making below.

Remember, the world is broad and can bear a great deal of difference, an immense amount of foolishness from all the billions of us trying to grow wiser and making our inevitable mistakes.

And there’s not just what we can see. The unseen is waiting to assist us…if we stop trying to take over. Let the unseen in.

Don’t over-think it, whatever it is. And if you do; go back to the flower, the tree, the duck.

If you make a mistake, learn from it. That’s what it’s there for.

New capacities are really growing.
Let them.

  1. Thankyou Clare for this deep wisdom 🙂
Do you know what the title, the word “list” you gave to this piece means in Polish?
    A letter.
It is like a letter to myself.
It can be letter to my friend who suffers.
It can be letter to every human being who tries to grow.
    Thankyou for this list!!

    With gratitude and kindness, Agnieszka
